Sporting Wheelies Volunteers
Hand Heart Pocket the Charity of Freemasons Queensland River 2 Reef Ride.
The River2Reef is a Fantastic Local Charity event supporting our CQ Rescue Helicopter, Mens mental health - SPCAP, and Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association.
Each year Sporting Wheelies manages the Volunteers for the event as a Thank you for the events continued support.
However this year due to new traffic management regulations, Volunteer numbers have to be significantly increased. Also, approx. 15 of our volunteers need to complete a fairly simple, on-line qualification.
If you can help our Sporting Wheelies with the River2Reef as a Volunteer, the second biggest Cycling event in Queensland, your help will be truly appreciated.
2019 Rego opens midday Friday 24th May
The ride LEAVES at 6am with participants encouraged to arrive between 5.00am and 5.30am. The ride starts at the top of Carlyle Street – connecting to River Street, near Paxton’s Markets and the finish line is on the river at the Bluewater Quay.
The Hand Heart Pocket River 2 Reef Ride 2019 charity event is a mass participation ride, not a race, to raise funds for two local charities – RACQ CQ Rescue and Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association and to encourage more people to become active and involved in cycling. This year’s event is to be held in Mackay on Saturday 14th September, 2019.
There are FOUR ride distances to choose from: 35km, 60km, 90km or 135km. We’ll finish at the Blue Water Quay where breakfast food and coffee stalls will be operating – perfect for your friends and family to greet you when you cross the line.
The Hand Heart Pocket River 2 Reef Ride is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the glorious scenery Mackay has to offer while raising money for worthwhile causes.
Welcome to Mackay District Freemasons Gala Dinner
From being a fraternity who provides significant community work from behind the scenes, we are now proud to share with you our first Gala Dinner Black Tie Event. For the first time in our Mackay District, we are excited to share with you a dinner which will showcase some of our Masonic traditions.
To support our evening, it is an honor to have the company of our Deputy Mayor Amanda Camm.
Our entertainment for the evening will be Jeff Green, an Englishman who has been a familiar face on our TV screens over the years with his many performances on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
